In Autumn 2011 BCSC gained OnBoard status from the RYA

Run by sailing's National Governing Body, the RYA, OnBoard is a highly successful industry supported grass roots programme which seeks to make sailing easier to get into for young people. Over a ten year period the programme aims to introduce a minimum of 500,000 children to sailing in the UK, converting over 10% of them into regular participants. So far it's nicely on track. Blue Circle has gained OnBoard Status after successfully running taster sessions with 2nd Cliffe Scouts and Gravesend Sea Cadets. Next year the Club will be running several more OnBoard sessions with local youth groups from around north Kent.
Victoria Lenz, RYA Sailing Development Officer comments; "it's great to welcome Blue Circle Sailing Club to the OnBoard programme. Sailing is a fantastic sport no matter your age, background or ability. We look forward to working with them and the local community to get as many people as possible enjoying our great sport."
